Main Event
The Gupta period of India was not characterized by wealth of trade. This was a creative period. The Gupta Empire was a defined period by flourished arts, fabulous literature, and stupendous scholars. This period was also known for the “Golden Age”. Samura Gupta was an impotant military leader who became the father to Candra Gupta II who also became a miliatry leade who became every well know for his support towards education. To the citizens of India, this made them believe the military had helped education and the involvement of education had helped military become very stabilized (Ryder 1). They believed this because of the importance that Nalanda University was when it was built during the Gupta Empire, this was the center of education at the time. Arts was very invloved with education while Ajanta Piantings where created during thus age; they were very famous. Famous emperors that defined importance during the Gupta Dynasty were Chandragupta, Sadrupta, Chandragupta II, Kamaragupta, and lasty Skadagupta (“Facts and Info: India” 1). Candra Gupta was the king of India that ruled during the golden age of the Gupta Empire. During his ruling, there wasn't much war due to the kindness and generous ruling that Candra Gupta proceeded to (“Did You Know?” 1). Candra ruled at the side of poets, writers and people of arts. Later in The Gupta period, they were attacked. The military was unable to stop the attackers and soon had to reconstruct the way their empire worked.
